Gutters

A new roof brings peace of mind and a sense of protection from the elements. But a new roof with gutters that are not functioning properly is a potential headache. Gutters are an essential part of managing the rainwater that runs off your roof. In addition to keeping overhead drips away-a properly installed system of gutters and downspouts will help shed water, prevent soil erosion, and extend the life of the trim on your home.

A gutter system that has been compromised can be a source of damage to your home. The weight of ice and snow, old age and deterioration can cause gutters to become mis-pitched, leak and no longer do their job. This can lead to rotted trim, icy walkways in the winter and water runoff which finds its way into your basement.

A close inspection of the condition and functionality of your current gutter system should be included as part of the inspection of your roof.
